Key Lime Pie
Key Lime pie has gotten a bad name for many good reasons. It is often prepared without (of all things) authentic Key Lime juice. Key Limes are actually yellow and have a taste different from the common Persian variety found in the supermarkets. Nellie and Joe's makes the best Key Lime juice available and this product can be found in most good supermarkets. Our Key Lime pie is a wonderful mixture of sweet and sour tastes and is especially refreshing in the summer.
- 1 - 9" Graham cracker crust
- 1 3/4 cans sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 6 oz. Nellie & Joe’s or other Key Lime juice
- The zest of 1 lime
Whip all ingredients together and pour into pie shell. Cook in a preheated 350 degree oven for approximately five minutes or until tiny pinhole bubbles burst on the surface. DO NOT BROWN! chill and serve with a slice of lime and freshly whipped cream.
